On April 6th, 2019 we hosted our second Houston Book Swap and even with the early starting time we had a surprising amount of readers show up and it turned out great! The free donuts and juice boxes did help though. (Thank you Candace @aceofpages)! It did start drizzling a little, but thank goodness Levy Park had some great under cover areas where we all ran to and don't worry no books were harmed. It only lasted for a few minutes and it ended up keeping the day cool.
This time everyone brought two books. One new or gently used book then we decided to keep with tradition and do a mystery swap with the second. So many people brought extras that again everyone left with more than they came with.

We started off with the mystery book drawing, which is always my favorite part. We drew everyone's name from a bag and took turns going and picking a wrapped book from the table. This time we read the descriptions out loud and felt like we were getting to unwrap each as we guessed what book it might be with the unwrapper.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event a success!
